Gib puller made an flywheels removed – these cam of much easier than I had expected, the gibs were tight but came out smoothly with the puller.
Block cleaned – bore rings and piston fine.
Poor welding on crack on block removed. This proved was as MIG had been used and there was no fusion to the cast iron. Cracks ground out and block sent for welding.
Water tap cleaned and lever made.
Head striped – valves reground. Inlet fine exhaust needed skimming on lathe before grinding.
Compression selector striped, cleaned and the valve faces ground in.
Head and block painted and reassembled. Very pleasing to look at!
Exhaust dismantled. This required force and a large stilson in the vice.
Injector serviced
Compression change over valve replaced with blank and heater plug fitted.
